- Abstract: The purpose of this research is to improve the skill of writing pantun through the application of cooperative learning model type CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) on the fourth grade students of primary school of Jatimulyo I Pedan Klaten at academic year 2015/2016. The form of this research grade classroom action research with last in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four phases, they are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research subject is fourth grade students ofprimary school and teachers of SDN I Jatimulyo with counts of students as much as 22 students. The data collection techniques using observation, interview, test, and study of document. The data analysis techniques used are interactive analysis model which consists of three components they are data reduction, presenting data, and conclusion drawing. The conclusion of this research is implementation of cooperative learning model type CIRC could improve skill of writing pantun on the fourth grade students of primary school of Jatimulyo I at academic year 2015/2016. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan menulis pantun melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) pada siswa kelas IV SDN I Jatimulyo Kecamatan Pedan Kabupaten Klaten tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa dan guru kelas IV SDN I Jatimulyo dengan jumlah siswa 22. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari tiga komponen yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis pantun siswa kelas IV SDN I Jatimulyo tahun ajaran 2015/2016.
