- Abstract: The purpose of this research is to improve of the concept understanding of force by using Two Stay Two Stray method of the fiveth grade students of Elementary School Karangasem 3 in the academic year of 2014/2015. The method used in this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which applied three cycles. Each cycle covered up four steps that are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were the teacher and 31 fiveth grade students of Elementary School Karangasem 3 in the academic year of 2014/2015. The writer used documentation, observation, test and also interview to collect the data. The technique used to analyze the data was interactive analysis which covered up data reduction, data presentation, and taking the conclusion of the data. Triangulation of the data source and the technique to collect the data were used to measure the validity of this research. The result of the research shows that the application of Two Stay Two Stray can improve the concept understanding of force. It can be seen from the improvement of the average score of force concept understanding and classical competence in each cycle. The average score of globalization concept understanding is 55,81 in pra cycle, that is 66,71 in cycle I, and that is 76,03 in cycle II. That results show that there is significant improvement of the average score of gaya concept understanding in each cycle. While, the classical competence is 29,03% in pra cycle, that is 61,29% in cycle I, and that is 80,65% in cycle II. That results show that there is significant improvement of classical competence. With regard to the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the application of Two Stay Two Stray can improve the concept understanding of force of fiveth grade students of Elementary School Karangasem 3 in the academic year of 2014/2015. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep gaya dengan menerapkan model Two Stay Two Stray pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Karangasem 3Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas V SD Negeri Karangasem 3, tahun ajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 31 siswa.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi, observasi, tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari tiga komponen yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan (verifikasi). Uji validitas penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi sumber data dan triangulasi teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan model Two Stay Two Stray dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep gaya. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat dari adanya peningkatan rerata nilai pemahaman konsep gaya oleh siswa dan ketuntasan klasikal pada setiap siklusnya. Rata-rata nilai pemahaman konsep gaya adalah 55,81 pada pra siklus, 66,71 pada siklus I, dan 76,03 pada siklus II. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada rerata nilai pemahaman konsep gaya pada tiap siklus. Sementara itu, ketuntasan klasikalnya adalah 29,03% pada pra siklus, 61,29% pada siklus I, dan 80,65% pada siklus II. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada ketuntasan klasikal pada tiap siklus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui penerapan model Two Stay Two Stray dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep gaya pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Karangasem 3 tahun ajaran 2014/2015.
