- Abstract: The purpose of this research is to improve the scientific skill on phase of communicating use Think Pair Share (TPS) method. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), that conducted in three cycles. The subject of this research is the fifth grade students of Karangasem II State Elementary School Surakarta, amounting to 31 students. The techniques of collecting data are observation, interview, test, and documentation. The techniques of analyzing data use interactive data analysis. The result of this research shows the minimum learning completeness before action is 32,26%; on the cycle I it increased to 61,29%; on the cycle II the increased continous to 87,11%, and on the cycle III the end of the cycle, it increased become 100%. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that Think Pair Share (TPS) method can improves communicating skill in the fifth grade students of Karangasem II State Elementary School on the academic year of 2014/2015. Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan saintifik tahap mengomunikasikan melalui penggunaan metode Think Pair Share (TPS). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Karangasem II Surakarta yang berjumlah 31 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan kelas pada kondisi awal sebelum tindakan sebesar 32.26%, siklus I ketuntasan kelas naik menjadi 61,29%, siklus II naik lagi menjadi 87,11%, dan pada siklus III ketuntasan kelas menjadi 100%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Think Pair Share (TPS) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa kelas V SDN Karangasem II tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dalam saintifik skil tahap mengomunikasikan.
