  • The purpose of this research in to improve the skill of writing observation report by using Six Thinking Hats metodh on the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Pajang II, Laweyan, Surakarta at 2014/2015 academic year. This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject are the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Pajang II Laweyan, Surakarta at 2014/2015 Academic Year consist of 39 students. The data collection techniquesused are interview, observation, documentation, and test. The data analyzed technique used interactive analysis model consist of four phases, namely: data collecting technique, data reduction, data display, and taking the conclusion or verification. The data validity used source triangulation and data collection of triangulation. The conclusion is Six Thinking Hats metodh can improve the skill of writing observation report on the fifth grade students on SD Negeri Pajang II, Laweyan, Surakarta at 2014/2015 Academic Year. The improvement can be proved by the increase of the average score and class learning completeness in each cycle. the average score before the treatment is 49.49, with learning completeness 35,90%. In cycle I the class average score is 75.37 with learning completeness 75.37%. In cycle II the class average score become 81.59, with learning completeness 89.75%.
