  • Abstract: The purpose of this research was to know which of the learning model between cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together type or Student Teams Achievement Divisions can provide better concept understanding of preparing independence of Indonesia. This research used the quasi experiment. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Based on this research result found that tobs > t(0,975;63) (2,3236 > 1,999), so H0 was rejected. The conclusion of this research was the cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together type resulted in better concept understanding of preparing independence of Indonesia than the cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions type.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran manakah yang dapat memberikan pemahaman konsep mempersiapkan kemerdekaan Indonesia lebih baik antara model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together atau Student Teams Achievement Divisions. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental semu. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh tobs > t(0,975;63) (2,3236 > 1,999), sehingga H0 ditolak. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together memberikan pemahaman konsep mempersiapkan kemerdekaan Indonesia lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Divisions.Kata kunci: Model pembelajaran kooperatif, Numbered Heads Together, pemahaman konsep, Student Teams Achievement Divisions.
