- Abstract: This study aims to improve understanding of the concept of geometrical properties of the model through the application of Cooperative type think-pair-share. This study uses classroom action research was conducted in two cycles each cycle consisted of two meetings. Data collection techniques using the documentation, interview, direct observation and test. Analysis using an interactive model analysis technique that consists of three components analysis of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification of each cycle covers the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The result shows that the model type Cooperative think-pair-share can increase the understanding of the concept of geometrical properties. In the classical completeness 35,7%, 57,2% one cycle, two cycles of 89,3%.Keywords: Understanding of the concept, geometrical properties, Cooperative type think-pair-share
