- Abstract: The purpose of this research was to improve the ability of write the essay narrative through cooperative learning model type Examples Non Examples, at the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 02 Ngasem, Colomadu, Karanganyar at 2012/2013 academic year. The form of this research was classroom action research, it consist of two cycles that each cycle consists of two meetings. Each cycle has consist of four phases, those are action planning, action implementation, action observation, and reflection. Data collecting technique are interview, observation, documentation, and test. The technique of data analysis used analytical interactive model, it consists of three components, consist of data reduction, data display, and taking the conclucion or verification. The conclusions of this research is the implementation of cooperative learning model type Examples of Non Examples can improve the ability of write the essay narrative the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 02 Ngasem, Colomadu, Karanganyar at 2012/2013 academic year. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan narasi melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Examples Non Examples pada peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 02 Ngasem, Colomadu, Karanganyar Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang berlangsung dalam dua siklus yang setiap siklusnya terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Setiap siklus memiliki empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi tindakan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari tiga komponen yaitu reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan (verifikasi). Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Examples Non Examples dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan narasi pada peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri 02 Ngasem, Colomadu, Karanganyar Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013.
