- abstract: The objective of this research is to improve the story telling ability through the use of serial pictures in the audio visual learning material of the students in Grade II of State Primary School 03 of Krebet, Masaran, Sragen in Academic Year 2012/2013. This research is the classroom action research. It employed two cycles, and each cycle consisted of four phases, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the research were the students in Grade II of State Primary School 03 of Krebet, Masaran, Sragen in Academic Year 2012/2013 as many as 39 students. The data of the research were analyzed by using the interactive analysis model comprising three components, namely: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. Based on the usearch that the use of serial pictures in the audio visual learning material can improve the story telling ability.
