  • ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik terhadap hasil tanaman jagung dan sifat tanah masam. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai September 2017, bertempat di Desa Kusambi, Kabupaten Muna Barat, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Bahan dan alat yang digunakan yaitu : benih jagung, pupuk organik, waring net, plastik transparan, polybag, air, cangkul, meteran, jangka sorong, tiang patok, kamera, dan alat tulis. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAK). Pupuk organik terdiri atas 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu (SO) 0 ml, (S1) 25 ml, (S2) 50 ml, (S3) 75 ml. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali sehingga ada 16 unit perlakuan. Parameter yang diamati (diameter tongkol tanpa kelobot, panjang tongkol berkelobot, panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot, bobot tongkol berkelobot, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot, jumlah baris biji/buah jagung dan bobot 100 biji jagung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik dapat mempengaruhi produksi tanaman jagung dan sifat tanah masam. Perlakuan yang terbaik adalah perlakuan S3 (75 ml/ tanaman). Kata Kunci : Pupuk organik, Jagung, Tanah masam ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of organic fertilizer on corn crops and sour soil properties. The study was conducted from June to September 2017, located in Kusambi Village, West Muna District, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Materials and tools used are: corn seed, organic fertilizer, waring net, transparent plastic, polybag, water, hoe, meter, sliding, stakes, camera and stationery. The study used Randomized Block Design (RAK). Organic fertilizer consists of 4 treatment levels (S0) 0ml, (S1) 25ml, (S2) 50ml, (S3) 75ml. Each treatment was repeated 4 times so that there were 16 treatment units. Parameters observed (diameter of cob without weight, length of cob weighted, length of cob without weight, weighted cob weight, weight of cobs without weight, number of rows / fruit of corn and weight of 100 seeds of corn.Based on the research results it can be concluded that the application of organic fertilizer can affect the production of corn crops and soil acidity The best treatment is the treatment of S3 (75 ml / plant).Keywords : Organic fertilizer, Corn, Sour soil
