PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA REALIA TERHADAP PENGUASAAN MATERI DAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA

- This research was aimed to know the effect of realia media towards learning achievement and students learning activities. This research design was pretest-postest equivalent group. Samples were XM1 and XM2 that was chosen by purposive sampling. The quantitative data were students cognitive learning outcomes that were obtained from the average value pretest, postest, and gain analyzed using U test. The qualitative data were of students learning activities responses that were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the real media can improved significantly students learning achievement that proof by gain average as 0.329. Gain average of C1 indicator was 0.034, C2 indicator was 0.019 and C4 indicator was 0,016. Learning activities of student’s in the experimental class such as observation, describe specimen, presentation earned, cooperate and ask questions an average 64.73% with “medium” criteria. Thus, learning using real media that significant influence to improved students learning achievement and learning activities in the plants world.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media realia terhadap penguasaan materi dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini kelas XM1 dan XM2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media realia meningkatkan secara signifikan hasil belajar dengan rata-rata gain sebesar 0,329. Rata-rata gain pada indikator C1 0,034, indikator C2 sebesar 0,019 dan indikator C4 sebesar 0,016. Aktivitas belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen seperti melakukan pengamatan, menggambarkan spesimen, presentasi kelompok, bekerjasama dalam tim, dan bertanya memperoleh rata-rata 64,73% dengan kriteria “cukup”. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan media realia berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa pada materi pokok dunia tumbuhan.Kata kunci : dunia tumbuhan, media realia, penguasaan materi
