PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN METODE PRAKTIKUM DENGAN MODEL NHT TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA

- The aims of this study was to know the influence of using practical method with NHT model to the studentâ€TMs science process skill. This study was a quasi-experimental using pretest-posttest equivalent group design. The samples were VIIE and VIIF class that chosen by purposive sampling. The research data consist of quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative data obtained from the average value of test which analyzed by using t-test and U-test, while the qualitative data obtained from the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of student which analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the studentâ€TMs science process skill was improve with average N-gain 44,07. The studentâ€TMs learning activities was improve with average 80,99. Thus, it could be concluded that using practical method with NHT model was influnced to improve the studentâ€TMs science process skills and the studentâ€TMs learning activities.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode praktikum dengan model NHT terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental semu dengan desain pretes-postes kelompok ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIE dan VIIF yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian terdiri dari data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U, sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan proses sains siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata N-gain 44,07. Aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata 80,99. Dengan demikian, penggunaan metode praktikum dengan model NHT berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dan aktivitas belajar siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, keterampilan proses sains, metode praktikum, model NHT
