Pengaruh Problem Based Learning Terhadap Metakognisi dan Hasil Belajar Materi Pencemaran Lingkungan

- This research aims was to determine the effect of PBL on metacognition skills and learning outcomes. The design was a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample were the students of VIIA and VIIC amounted of 60 students that were selected through cluster random sampling technique. Data on metacognition skills wereobtained from questionnaires and data on learning outcomes obtained from pretest and posttest. Data on metacognition skills were analyzed descriptively while learning outcomes were analyzed by Independent Sample t-Test at 5% confidence level. The results showed that the experimental class metacognition skills were higher with the criteria of "developing very well" compared to the control class which had the criteria "already developed". The cognitive learning outcomes of the experimental class were also higher than the control class with the average N-gain in the experimental class of (0.39 ± 0.124) while in the control class (0.29 ± 0.157).Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan pengaruh PBL terhadap keterampilan metakognisi dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIIA dan VIIC berjumlah 60 peserta didik dan dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Data keterampilan metakognisi diperoleh dari angket dan data hasil belajar diperoleh dari pretest dan posttest. Data keterampilan metakognisi dianalisis secara deskriptif sedangkan hasil belajar dianalisis dengan uji Independent Sample t-Test pada taraf kepercayaan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan metakognisi kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dengan kriteria “berkembang sangat baik” dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang memiliki kriteria “sudah berkembang”. Hasil belajar kognitif kelas eksperimen juga lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata N-gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar (0,39 ± 0,124) sedangkan pada kelas kontrol (0,29 ± 0.157).
