  • The main purpose of this research was to investigate Speaking Skillof SMK Daarul ‘Ulya Metroin Speaking Skilland to know that Story Telling Strategy could help the students’ learning process. Furthermore, the researcher conductedaquantitative researchwith the true experimental designusing test and documentation. The data was analyzed by using t-test formula thatisenable to determine the effectiveness by finding the differences between before and after doing the treatment.Beside that, the researcher also analyzed the data by using Chi-Squareformula to investigate a significant influence from the treatment by investigating the significant differences of students pre-test and post-test score (before and after the treatment) in experimental class. Finally, the result of data analysis from t-test formula illustrates that t observed= 156,25 is higher than t tablewith the significant level of 5% = 0,444and 1% = 0,561. Thus, it can be inferred that there is a positive influence. Then, the result of data analysis from Chi-Squareformula illustratesthat ????????observed= 156,25 is higher than ????????tablewith the significant level of 5% = 5.99 and 1% =9.21. It means that there is a significant influence. Therefore, the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. With the result that there is a positive and significant of using Story TellingStrategy on the students’speaking skill at the eleventh grade of SMK Daarul ‘Ulya Metro Keyword: Speaking Skill, Story Telling Strategy
