Daftar Isi:
- The notion of Islamic English was firstly introduced in the late 1980's as to rectify some Islamic concepts translated or transliterated into English. Now within the context of English as an International language, Islamic English can be viewed as a nativization phenomenon representing a particular dimension of English language. This paper aims at depicting such phenomenon within Indonesian context, where Islam is the religion of the majority, by clarifying the ontological, axiological, theological, juridical, sociological, political, historical, linguistic, and pedagogical aspects of Islamic English. It is assumed that the syntheses of those aspects should shed a light on viewing Islamic English within instructional framework, let alone on defining language policy on Islamic English
