- AbstractWaterisoneoftheessensialneedsforallhumankindsandissomewhateasilyaffectbythebioticpollutiondantheabioticpollution.ThisalsohappenstobothsoilwaterandsurfacewaterinwhichthosehavealreadybeencontaminatedbyColiformespeciallythoselocatedinpopulousareas.ThereseachonMicrobiologyQualityBasedontheMPNColiformValueColiformfecalandthecolonyofEscherichiacolibacteriathePhysicalandChemicalQualityofRefillWaterinPalangkarayaCityastheSupportingMaterialinMicrobiologyPracticumaimsasfindingout(1)thewaterqualityofrefillwaterandsoilwatersourceinthecitiesandinthehillyareasbasedontheMPNvalueofitsColiformColiformfecaldanthenumberofEscherichiacoliinPalangkaraya(2)thephysicalqualityofrefillwaterandthesoilwaterbasedonthedegreeofclearancecolortastesmellfoundinPalangkaraya(3)thechemicalqualityofrefillwaterincitiesandinthehillyareasaswellbasedonthelevelofpuritypHBODCODandthecontaminationofPbinPalangkaraya.Theresultofthisstudyshowsthat(1)haveanysignificantdifferencebetweenrefillofwaterandsoilwatersourceinthecitiesandthehillybasedontheMPNvalueofitsColiformMPNvalueofitsColiformfecalandthenumbercolonyofEsherichiacolibacteria.TherefillofwatersoilwatersourcefoundColiformColiformfecalandthecolonyofEsherichiacolibacteriwhereasatrefillofwaterthehillynotfoundColiformfecalandthecolonyofEsherichiacolibacteri.ThequalityofwaterfromthehillyisgoodtoconsumewhereasfromsoilwatersourceinthecitiesisnotgoodtoconsumebasedMPNColiformvalueMPNColiformfecalvalueandthecolonyofEsherichiacolibacteri.(2)haveanysignificantdifferencethequalityofwaterbasedonclearancecolortasteandsmellbetweenrefillofwaterfromsoilwatersourceinthecitiesandthehilly(3)haveanysignificantdifferencethequalityofwaterbasedpHlevelofpurityBODandCODwhereasbasedlevelPbnothavefoundanysignificandifferencebetweenrefillofwaterfromsoilwatersourceinthecitiesandthehilly.Theimplicationofthisstudycanbeintheformsiystematicpulloutandprinciplleloyalofmicrobiologypracticummanualsuntilcanagoodusedaimingatformingsignificantandenjoyabletheachingandlearningactivitiesbyusingcontextualapproachinthetertiarylevel(university)especiallythosedealingwithmicrobiologycourse.KatakuncicoliformjumlahkolonibakteriEscherihiacolikualitasair.
