- ABSTRAKWriasumitraDeargaEraldi.2017.PengaruhModelPembelajaranGroupInvestigation(GI)TerhadapKemampuanMemecahkanMasalahSiswaKelasXIIPSSMALaboratoriumUniversitasNegeriMalang.SkripsiJurusanGeografiFakultasIlmuSosialUniversitasNegeriMalang.Pembimbing(I)ArdyantoTanjungS.PdM.Pd(II)Drs.HendriPurwitoM.Si.KatakunciGroupInvestigationKemampuanMemecahkanMasalahPendekatansaintifikmerupakankekuatanutamadalamkurikulum2013.Pembelajarandenganpendekatansaintifikmendorongsiswamelakukanpenyelidikanuntukmenemukanfaktadarisebuahfenomenasehinggapembelajaraninimembutuhkankemampuanmemecahkanmasalahuntukpenyelesaiannya.ModelPembelajaranGroupInvestigationmerupakanmodelpembelajaranyangberlandaskanpadapendekatansaintifik.ModelGroupInvestigationdirasasesuaikarenafokusutamapembelajaraniniuntukmelakukaninvestigasiterhadapsuatutopikatauobjekkhususyangmembuatsiswalebihtermotivasiuntukmenemukanmasalahbesertapemecahannyasendiri.PenelitianinibertujuanuntukmengetahuipengaruhpenggunaanmodelGroupInvestigationterhadapkemampuanmemecahkanmasalahsiswa.RancanganpenelitianiniadalaheksperimensemudengandesainpenelitianNonequivalentControlGroupDesign.Subjekpenelitianberjumlah63siswadenganrincian31siswakelasXIIPS4sebagaikelaskontroldan32siswakelasXIIPS3sebagaikelaseksperimen.Instrumenyangdigunakanuntukpengumpulandataadalahsoaltesessaipretestdanposttestberdasarkanindikatorkemampuanmemecahkanmasalah.Teknikanalisisdatamenggunakanuji-tdenganSPSS16.0forWindows.HasilpenelitianinimenunjukkanadanyapengaruhdarimodelpembelajaranGroupInvestigationterhadapkemampuanmemecahkanmasalahsiswakelasXIIPSSMALaboratoriumUniversitasNegeriMalang.PengaruhmodelGroupInvestigationdibuktikandengannilaigainscorekelaseksperimensebesar1546sedangkankelaskontrolhanya1064.ModelpembelajaranGroupInvestigationmemilikikelebihanmendorongsiswauntukbelajarlebihaktifdanlebihbermakna.Artinyasiswadituntutselaluberpikirtentangsuatupersoalandanmerekamencarisendiricarapenyelesaiannyasehinggabisalebihmeningkatkanminatdankemampuanmemecahkanmasalahsiswa.SaranyangdiajukanuntukguruadalahmenjadikanmodelGroupInvestigationsebagaialternatifmodelpembelajaranuntukmeningkatkankemampuanmemecahkanmasalah.SaranuntukpenelitianselanjutnyaadalahmengujicobakanmodelGroupInvestigationpadamateriberbedadanmengkombinasikandenganmediapembelajaranyanglebihvariatifsehinggatampakpengaruhyangbesarterhadapkemampuanmemecahkanmasalahdanmemperolehmanfaatyanglebihbesardarimodelGroupInvestigation.ABSTRACTWriasumitraDeargaEraldi.2017.TheEffectofGroupInvestigation(GI)LearningModelAgainstProblemSolvingSkillsoftheClassXIIPSStudentsofSMALaboratoriumUniversitasNegeriMalang.ThesisGeographyDepartmentFacultyofSocialScienceUniversitasNegeriMalang.Advisers(I)ArdyantoTanjungS.PdM.Pd(II)Drs.HendriPurwitoM.Si.KeywordsGroupInvestigationProblemSolvingSkillsThescientificapproachisamajorforceinthe2013curriculum.Learningbyscientificapproachencouragesstudentstoinvestigatetodiscoverthefactsofaphenomenonsothislearningrequiresproblem-solvingskillsforcompletion.TheGroupInvestigationLearningModelisalearningmodelbasedonascientificapproach.TheGroupInvestigationmodelisappropriatebecausethemainfocusofthislessonistoinvestigateaspecifictopicorobjectthatmakesstudentsmoremotivatedtofindtheproblemanditsownsolutions.ThisstudyaimstodeterminetheeffectofusingGroupInvestigationmodeltoproblemsolvingskills.Thedesignofthisstudyisaquasiexperimentwithnonequivalentcontrolgroupdesignresearchdesign.Thesubjectswere63studentswith31studentsofclassXIIPS4ascontrolclassand32studentsofclassXIIPS3asexperimentalclass.Theinstrumentusedfordatacollectionisamatterofpretestandposttestessaytestwhicheachitemcontainsproblemsolvingindicator.Thedataanalysistechniqueusesat-testwithSPSS16.0forWindows.TheresultsofthisstudyindicatetheeffectoftheGroupInvestigationstudymodelontheskillstosolvetheproblemsofstudentsofclassXIIPSSMALaboratoriumUniversitasNegeriMalang.TheeffectofGroupInvestigationmodelisevidencedbyexperimentalclassgainscorevalueof15.46whilecontrolclassisonly10.64.TheGroupInvestigationlearningmodelhastheadvantageofencouragingstudentstolearnmoreactivelyandmoremeaningfully.Thismeansthatstudentsarerequiredtoalwaysthinkaboutaproblemandtheyseektheirownincompletionsothatitcanfurtherincreasetheinterestandabilitytoproblemsolvingskills.TheproposedsuggestionforteachersistomaketheGroupInvestigationmodelanalternativelearningmodeltoimproveproblem-solvingskills.ThesuggestionforfurtherresearchistopilottheGroupInvestigationmodelondifferentmaterialsandcombineitwiththemorevariedlearningmediasothatitlooksagreatinfluenceontheproblemsolvingabilityandgaingreaterbenefitfromtheGroupInvestigationmodel.
