- WardhanyPutriKusuma.2013.SortWasteManagementthroughDesaSehatProgram(aCaseStudyonSelf-HelpGroup(SHG)KucurBerseriofKrajanHamletKucurVillageDauDistrictMalangRegency).ThesisNon-FormalEducationFacultyofEducationStateUniversityofMalang.Advisor(1)Dr.ZulkarnainM.Pd(2)Drs.UribUrbiyantoM.SKeyWordSortWasteManagementDesaSehatOneoftheproblemsforuncleanandunhealthyenvironmentisduetothebadwastemanagement.Peopletendtobeaccustomedtolitteringwithoutconsideringtheeffectthatwillariseinthefuture.Sometimestheflowoftheriver(flush)toricefieldsandfarmarecloggedbecauseofthewasteaccumulationandwasteisgettingaccumulateddaybydaywithoutnecessaryadvantagetotake.DuetotheraisingproblemitwasimplementedDesaSehatProgrambyCityandRegencyGovernmentsbytargetingtotheavoidanceofwasteaccumulationmakingusethewastebycultivatingittobecomeusefulproduct.Thisstudyfocuseson(1)howtheprocessofsortwastemanagementthroughDesaSehatProgramgoes(2)whatobstaclesfoundinthesortwastemanagementand(3)whatbenefitsobtainedfromthesortwastemanagement.OntheotherhandthewriteralsoprovidessometheoreticalreviewsonthenatureofsortwastemanagementandthenatureofDesaSehatProgram.Inthisstudythereareseveralstepstocoverintheprocessofsortwastemanagementinordertomeetitstarget(1)socialization(2)implementation(3)monitoringand(4)evaluation.Theobstaclesfoundduringthestudyare(1)minimumunderstandingofthepeopleonthewastegrouping(2)backwardnessintheparticipationofimplementationteamand(3)lackofsupportingfacilitiesandinfrastructures.Theactivityofsortwastemanagementisimplementedwiththetargetofempoweringsocietyespeciallywomen.Theeffortofsocietyempowermentisreflectedintheimprovementofpeoplesbehaviorinnovationinthecultivationofplasticwastetobecomehandicraftsuchastablematandshoppingbaginwhichhavingsalevalueandaddingrevenueandasasidejob.ItissuggestedforSelf-HelpGroup(SHG)tomakebetterpreparationandoptimizesupportingfacilitiesandinfrastructuresofsortwastemanagementandthemoreimportantistoconductintensivetrainingsothatthetargetwillbemorefeasibleandcanproducevarioususefulproductsthathavesalevalue.
