- KeyWordcontextuallearningProblemBasedLearning(PBL)learningactivitylearningachievementjuniorhighschoolof20Malang.Thelearningofscienceat7thIclassjuniorhighschoolof20MalanguselecturemethodandonlyuseoneattandancebookassourceofstudythatisLKSMGMPfromschool.Thisconditionmakestudentnothavemotivationtostudyintheclasssothestudentmakenoisyandtheactivityalsoachievementlearningfromthemislow.Basedonthatproblemsoneedasolutiontosolvethatproblem.ThesolutionthatcansolvethatproblembyapplyingcontextuallearningwithPBLstrategytoincreasetheactivityandachievementlearningofstudent.Thisresearchincludeinclassroomresearchwithtwocycles.Thedataofstudentactivitygotbyobservationwhilearesearchintheclass.Whereasthedataofstudentachievementgotbytestinthelastmeetingineachcycleforcognitiveaspectandbyobservationforaffectiveaspect.TheresultofthisresearchshowthattheapplicationofcontextuallearningwithPBLstrategycanincreasetheactivityandachievementstudentlearningfromfirstcycletothesecondcycle.Theresultofthisresearchcanapplyintheclasswithanothermaterybesidethatinthenextresearchneedtodocolaborationbetweenmodelteacher(scientist)andtheteacherinthatclass.
