  • KatakuncireduksikimiananopartikelstabiliserSintesisnanopartikelperak(Ag)melaluimetodereduksikimiadenganvariasimolarMSAdankarakterisasistrukturkristaldanmorfologi.Nanosilveriscurrentlyoneofthemostcommonengineerednanomaterialsandisusedinmanyapplicationsthatleadtothereleaseofsilvernanoparticlesandsilverionsintoaqueoussystems.Nanosilveralsopossessesenhancedantimicrobialactivityandbioavailabilitythatmaylessenvironmentalriskcomparedwithothermanufacturednanomaterials.Describedinthisresearcharethesynthesisofsilvernanoparticleproducedbychemicalreductionfromsilvernitrate(AgNO3)solution.AsareducingagentSodiumBorohydride(NaBH4)wasusedandMercaptosuccinicAcid(MSA)asstabilizertopreventthenanoparticlefromaglomerating.Itwasalsousedtwokindsofsolventtheyarewaterandmethanol.IntypicalexperimentMSAwasdissolveinmethanolwithanumberofvariationofmolarityi.e.003M006M012M015Mandthemixturewaskeptundervigorousstirringinanicebath.Asolutionofsilvernitrateof340mgin6792mlwaterwasadded.Afreshlypreparedaqueoussolutionofsodiumborohydride(7566mLin100mLofwater)wasaddeddropwisely.Thesolutionwaskeptforhalfanhourforstirringandwereallowedtosettledowninmethanol.CharacterizationofthesilvernanoparticleconductedbyusingXRDpatternandScanningElectronMicroscopy(SEM)toobtaintheirstructuresofsilvernanoparticlesmorphologyandsizes.Experimentalresultshowedthatdiameterofsilvernanoparticlesizedabout243nm(AgMSA003M)204nm(AgMSA006M)168nm(AgMSA012M)169nm(AgMSA015M)whichwascalculatedbyScherrerformulabytakingtheFWHMfromfittingtoGaussian.Thephasesandlatticeparametershowedthatthereisnochangeinvolumesignificantlybyincreasingmolarityofstabilizer.Incontrastthesizeofparticlesisdecreasing
