- AbstrakMandarinisaforeignlanguage.InanumberofstudiesMandarinisthemostdifficultlanguagetolearnbecauseithasmorethan50000charactersandthereare4basictonesthathavedifferentmeaningswhenspoken.ManystudentsfinditdifficulttolearnMandarin.ThisisthebackgroundfortheauthortoexaminewhetherthedigitalerathatisrapidlytransformingduringthepandemiccanmakeiteasierforstudentstoimprovetheirMandarinlanguageskills.Themethodusedinthisresearchisdescriptiveanalysismethod.TheresultsofthisstudystatethatlearningMandarinduringthepandemicisnoteffectivebecausethelearningmethodtendstobeboring.Theresultsofthedescriptiveanalysisamongstudents90%gavetheopinionthatlearningMandarinduringthepandemicwasnotveryeffectiveboringanddifficulttocatchthematerialdeliveredeventhoughusingtranslationandotherassistivemedia.Manyfactorscausesuchasunstablesignalvoicecutoffandnothavingacellphoneorlaptop.
