  • KeywordsMethodsProblamSolvingPKNElementarySchool.PKNlearninginclassVSDNGambiranIPrigenPasuruanDistrictislessenthusedbythestudents.Learningactivitiesfocusedonthedeliveryofmaterialbytheteacherssothatstudentsattentionfocusedontheteachers.Thisconditionresultedinstudentlearningactivitiestobereducedwhicheventuallyresultedinalowintereststudentlearningtounderstandandmasterthelearningmaterialandlearningoutcomesareunsatisfactory.ThereforelearningoutcomesofstudentsinlearninginclassVPKNSDNGambiranIPrigenPasuruanDistrictneedimprovement.Thepurposeofthisstudyare(1)describetheimplementationoftheapplicationofproblemsolvingmethodinclassVstudentlearningPKNGambiranISDNand(2)describetheimprovementofstudentlearningoutcomesintheimplementationofthelearningmethodofproblemsolvinginsocialstudiesclassIGambiranSDNVThisstudydesignwasusedinactionresearch(CAR)whichconsistsoftwocycles.Eachcycleincludesthestepofplanningactionobservationandreflection.SubjectandsourceofresearchdataisaclassVstudentandteacherIGambiranSDNPrigenPasuruanDistrict.Theinstrumentusedinthisstudyistheobservationguidesinterviewguidesandtest.Resultsshowed(1)goodteachersareabletoapplylearningwithproblemsolvingonthelearningmethodinclassVPKNSDNGambiranFirstDistrictPrigenPasuruanwiththesestepsformulatingtheproblemanalyzingproblemsformulatinghypothesescollectingdatatestinghypothesesformulaterecommendationsandproblemsolvingand(2)problemsolvingmethodstoenhancemotivationandlearningoutcomesPKNVgradersSDNGambiranFirstDistrictPrigenPasuruanthroughcyclicalactionisfairwiththeirlevelofabilityof75.48%.Basedontheresultsitcanbeputforwardseveralsuggestionsamongothers(1)teacherscanapplyandofdevelopingteachingmethodsonlearningproblemsolvingcompetenceorPKNintootherthemeswhichsuitthesituationandenvironmentalconditionsrespectiveschools(2)forschoolprincipalsneedtoincreasesupervisionandguidancetoteacherswithinnovativeteachingrelatedtolearningandotherlearningPKNthusexpectedtoimprovethequalityoflearningandstudentsintoabetterdirectionand(3)forsupervisorskindergarten/elementaryschoolaneedtoincreaseteachertrainingthrougheducationandtraining(Training)associatedwiththecompetenceandprofessionalismofteachers.Withthiseffortisexpectedtoimproveteacherperformancekeinerjaandbetterthanever.
