- A study was conducted under controlled laboratory condition on the susceptibility of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus larvae to incfection with the nematodes Romanomermis iyengari. Both larval species ware equally susceptible to infection. The infection rate of a treatment ratio (worm : larvae) of 1 : 1 were 42,75% in Aedes aegypti and 33,75 % in Aedes albopictus. In future mass production, both species can be utilized to obtain faster production of nematodes for vector control purposes.
