- Abstract Healthcare providers have the function of organizing medical services, development of administration and financial implemented by medical record and service unit. Therefore, hospital should give a positive direction to achieve organization goals and employees’ job satisfaction. The expectation is influenced by the work environment and motivation. This study aimed to analyze the influence of physical work environment (temperature and humidity), non-physical work environment (relationship among employees, relationship between employees and leaders) and motivation for job satisfaction in the medical record and service unit at Banjarbaru Hospital in 2015. The research design was crosssectional through observational approach. The sample was 32 people. The research applied devices for measuring temperature and humidity, and questionnaires for motivation and job satisfaction assessment. The results revealed that humidity and temperature factors influence job satisfaction significantly. The influence of non-physical work environment on satisfaction was at p-value of 0.017, and the influence of motivation on job satisfaction was at p-value of 0.035. The study concluded that temperature, humidity, motivation and non-physical work environment were the factors of job satisfaction. Key words : Environment factors, job satisfaction, motivationAbstrakPelayanan kesehatan mempunyai fungsi menyelenggarakan pelayanan medis, pengembangan administrasi dan keuangan yang dilaksanakan unit kesehatan, terutama di rumah sakit, tetapi juga harus memperhatikan kepuasan kerja pegawai. Harapan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan kerja dan motivasi. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis faktor lingkungan kerja fisik (suhu dan kelembaban), lingkungan kerja non fisik (hubungan sesama karyawan, hubungan karyawan-atasan) dan motivasi terhadap kepuasan kerja. Tempat penelitian di ruang rekam medik dan bidang pelayanan Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Daerah Banjarbaru. Metode yang digunakan observasional analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Sampel berjumlah 32 orang dan instrumen penelitian menggunakan alat ukur suhu dan kelembaban (termometer hygrometer) dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor suhu dan kelembaban berhubungan dengan kepuasan kerja. Ada pengaruh lingkungan kerja non fisik dengan kepuasan kerja (p-value=0,017), dan ada pengaruh motivasi dengan kepuasan kerja (p-value=0,035). Kesimpulan penelitian membuktikan bahwa faktor suhu dan kelembaban, motivasi, hubungan sesama karyawan dan atasan menjadi faktor penyebab kepuasan kerja.Kata kunci : faktor lingkungan kerja, kepuasan kerja, motivation
