- Abstract. Data of National Social Economics Survey included self-medication behavioural by Indonesia population. The purpose of study is to know the traditional medicine usage in self medication, as well as factors related to the traditional medicine usage. The data subset of KOR-MODUL of National Economic Social Survey 2007 (Susenas 2007) consist of 280.000 house hold in 33 provinces in Indonesia The respondents are who were ill during the past month before survey and used the traditional medicine in self medication. The variables analysis are age, sex, marital status, education, occupation, living area, kind of illness and traditional medicine usage. Data were analyzed by proportion, Chi-square test and multiple logistic regression test. The research results are indicate : (1) The percentage of Indonesian population using the traditional medicine in self-medication has been increased in the last seven years from 15,2 % up to 38,30%. The traditional medicine usage in the self-medication is more the older age group, married/divorced, low education, farmer/fisherman/un-employee, living in the rural, and the suffering diarrhoea.
