- The purpose of the study was to see the influence of K-W-L strategy andlearning motivation toward the student’s ability to comprehend the legends. The participants ofstudy were 50 students who were taken from X1 and X3 classes. The data was obtained byadministering the objective test and distributing the questionnaires. The data was analyzedusing t-test and anova. Based on the data analysis, it was found the use of KWL strategy andlearning motivation did not provide a positive influence on students’ ability to comprehend thelegends. Thus, generally this study only affected by the learning motivation. Learning motivationheld an important role in the process of learning the legend well.Keywords: K-W-L strategy, learning motivation, and the abiliy to comprehend the legends.
