- Abstrack: Community behavior is the behavior or interaction of humans or individuals in their environment. The behavior of each community is very different and this is influenced by the environment in which the community lives. Coastal reclamation is a function shift from the coastal area to a land area. Procurement of coastal reclamation is generally carried out to make the area that is not useful to be an area that has benefits. In this study researchers used descriptive qualitative methods. In this study researchers limit through several elements that can affect the behavior patterns of coastal reclamation areas, namely: cultural values, personal values, needs, attitudes and beliefs. These five elements will support the current pattern of behavior of the coastal reclamation area community. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach method through interviewing 6 informants, observations, and tracking additional documents in the form of interview guide lists, recording devices and writing. The results of this study indicate that in general the behavior patterns of the coastal reclamation area are getting better and more prosperous than before the implementation of coastal reclamation, in accordance with the focus of research that has been done in the field.Keywords: Community, Behavior, Coastal ,Reclamation.
