- ABSTRAK: The fundamental problems faced by farmers in the empowerment of farmer groups is the lack of access to sources of capital, markets and technology, as well as farmers' organizations are still weak. The purpose of this study was to determine the existing Empowerment of Farmers Group Tareran In District Suluun South Minahasa regency. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and the collection of data with the document. to see how the empowerment of farmer groups in the District Suluun Tareran South Minahasa regency. Researchers using three indicators, which are : provision of various inputs and increasing the level of education, encourage and motivate and strengthen the power and potential members of farmer groups. Based on the results of research conducted on the empowerment of farmer groups in Suluun Tareran Subdistrict, there has been little progress which can be concluded that this farmer group has been empowered. The advice is, the farmer groups shouldn’t expect too much help from the government, exchange the information among members of farmer groups, help each other among fellow farmer group members and diligently participating in agricultural counseling and training.Keywords: Empowerment, Farmers Group, Encourage, Motivate, Strengthen
