- This study is aimed to determine the differences of tiger jumping skills through cooperative learning and direct learning model to tiger jump skills by the VII A class students of SMP Negeri 5 Metro. The results of this study would be useful for researchers, trainers and physical teachers in developing learning model to the school students. The method used in this study was the experimental method. The object of this study was the VII A class students which amount to 30 people. The results of the different analysis test, it was found that tiger jumping skills using direct learning model has increase significantly rather than cooperative learning model.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan lompat harimau melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif dan model pembelajaran langsung terhadap keterampilan lompat harimau pada siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 5 Metro. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan bermanfaat bagi peneliti, pelatih, dan guru penjaskes dalam mengembangkan model pembelajaran bagi siswa-siswi sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Objek penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas VII A yang berjumlah 30 orang. Hasil analisis uji beda ternyata keterampilan lompat harimau menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung lebih meningkat signifikan dari pada model pembelajaran kooperatif.Kata kunci : lompat harimau, model pembelajaran kooperatif, model pembelajaran langsung
