HUBUNGAN GAYA BELAJAR DAN MINAT BACA DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V SD SE-KECAMATAN SEYEGAN SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2014/2015

  • AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gaya belajar dengan prestasi belajar, hubungan antara minat belajar dengan prestasi belajar siswa, dan hubungan gaya belajar dan minat belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Kelas V SD Se-Kecamatan Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Se-Kecamatan Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa Kelas V SD Se-Kecamatan Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 625 siswa dan sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 205 siswa dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi ganda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara gaya belajar dengan prestasi belajar siswa Kelas V SD Se-Kecamatan Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015, dengan diperoleh rhitung=0,334, dengan p=0,000, ttabel=0,137, maka rhitung> rtabel dan p<0,05 artinya semakin baik gaya belajar, semakin tinggi pula prestasi belajar, demikian juga sebaliknya semakin rendah gaya belajar maka semakin rendah prestasi belajar. (2) ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara minat baca dengan prestasi belajar siswa Kelas V SD Se-Kecamatan Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015, dengan diperoleh rhitung=0,249, dengan p=0,000, ttabel=0,137, maka thitung>ttabel dan p<0,05, artinya semakin tinggi minat baca maka semakin tinggi prestasi belajar. (3) ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan gaya belajar dan minat baca dengan prestasi belajar siswa Kelas V SD Se-Kecamatan Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015, dengan diperoleh Fhitung=17,265, Ftabel=3,04, dimana Fhitung>Ftabel, p<0,05, artinya semakin baik gaya belajar dan semakin tinggi minat baca maka semakin tinggi prestasi belajar.Kata kunci: gaya belajar, minat baca, prestasi belajar.AbstractThis research aims to discover any possible correlation between learning style and learning achievement, correlation between learning motivation and learning achievement, and correlation between learning style and learning motivation and learning achievement of all Class V Elementary School Students in Seyegan District Sleman Yogyakarta Academic Year 2014/2015. The research was conducted in all Elementary Schools District Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta Academic Year 2014/2015. Populations were 625 students and samples of the research were 205 students who were taken with purposive sampling technique. Data colletion technique of the research was mainly based on questionnaire and documentation. Technique of analyzing data was based on double regression, t test and F test. According to the result of the research, it can be concluded that (1) there was a positive and significant relationship between learning style and learning achievement with rcount=0,334, with p=0,000, rtable = 0,137, therefore rcount>rtable and p, 0, 05 it means that the better the learning style, the higher learning achievement, and vice versa. (2) there was a positive and significant relationship between reading motivation and learning achievement which is shown by rcount=0,249, with p = 0,005, rtable = 0,137, therefore rcount>rtable and p < 0,05, it means that the higher the reading motivation the better the learning achievement. (3) there was a positive and significant correlation between learning style and reading motivation and learning achievement which is shown by Fcount = 17, 265, Ftable = 3,04, where as Fcount>Ftable, p<0,05, it means that the better the learning style and the higher the reading motivation the greater the learning achievement.Keywords: learning style, reading motivation, learning achievement
