EFEKTIVITAS METODE PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR GEOGRAFI

  • The method used in this study was Quasi Experiment (quasi-experimental) is a method that compares the effect of a treatment (treatment) on an object (experimental group) and saw a large treatment effect. The total sample of 45 students . Analysis of the data used is independent sample t-test. The results of the data analysis we concluded: there are differences in the average pretest score on grade geography subjects treated and the methods of problem solving are given a lecture class. Average posttest learning outcomes in geography class treated the learning problem solving method is higher than that given class lecture. Average gain learning outcomes in geography class treated the problem solving method is higher than that given to the class lecture. The results of the calculation of mastery learning classroom experiment with methods of problem solving is greater than the mastery learning classes treated control lecture method.Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Eksperimen Semu (quasi eksperimen) yaitu metode yang membandingkan pengaruh pemberian suatu perlakuan (treatment) pada suatu objek (kelompok eksperimen) serta melihat besar pengaruh perlakuannya. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 45 siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t independent sample test. Hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan: terdapat perbedaan rata-rata nilai pretes mata pelajaran geografi pada kelas yang diberi perlakuan metode Problem Solving dan pada kelas yang diberi metode ceramah. Rata-rata postes hasil belajar geografi pada kelas yang diberi perlakuan metode pembelajaran Problem Solving lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas yang diberi metode ceramah. Rata-rata gain hasil belajar geografi pada kelas yang diberi perlakuan metode Problem Solving lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada kelas yang diberi metode ceramah. Hasil perhitungan ketuntasan belajar kelas eksperimen dengan metode Problem Solving lebih besar dari ketuntasan belajar kelas kontrol yang diberi perlakuan metode ceramah.Kata kunci : hasil belajar, metode, problem solving
