- This study aimed to examine the problems of geography teacher in teaching remote sensing and SIG. The method employed was exploratory method. The population of this study were 17 teachers who teach geography at XII grade of Senior High School in Bandar Lampung. The result shows that geography teachers the topic of remote sensing and SIG of Senior High School in Bandar Lampung: 1) less in mastering the topic of remote sensing and SIG. 2) less in mastering learning method the topic of remote sensing and SIG. 3) less control on the media mastery learning the topic of remote sensing and SIG. 4) not controlled in the provision and use of facilities and infrastructure the topic of remote sensing and SIG. 5) low teachers motivation to learn the topic of remote sensing and SIG.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji problematika guru geografi pada materi penginderaan jauh dan SIG. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksploratif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru geografi yang mengajar kelas XII di SMA Negeri Kota Bandar Lampung yaitu sebanyak 17 orang guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru geografi SMA Negeri di Kota Bandar Lampung:1) kurang menguasai materi penginderaan jauh dan SIG. 2) kurang menguasai metode pembelajaran pada materi penginderaan jauh dan SIG. 3) kurang menguasai media pembelajaran pada materi penginderaan jauh dan SIG. 4) tidak menguasai dalam penyediaan dan penggunaan sarana dan prasarana pada materi penginderaan jauh dan SIG. 5) motivasi belajar guru yang rendah pada materi penginderaan jauh dan SIG.Kata kunci: guru geografi, penginderaan jauh dan SIG, problematika guru.
