- This research aims to determine and analyze the differences in learning outcomes before and after treatment and the effect of the ability of argumentation using a problem based learning model. The research used a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest-poststest design. The research subjects were students of class XI IPS 5 and the object of the research was the ability to argue using a problem based learning model. Data collection techniques that used in research are observation, documentation, questionnaires and tests. Data analys that used are t-test and linear regression test with moderator. The results showed that (1) there were differences in the average geography learning outcomes between before and after the treatment, (2) there was an effect of 65% argumentation skills on learning outcomes and problem based learning model variables increased the influence of argumentation skills on learning outcomes reaching 74 %.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakuan dan untuk mengetahui dan pengaruh kemampuan argumentasi menggunakan model problem based learning. Penelitian menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 5 dan objek penelitian adalah kemampuan argumentasi menggunakan model problem based learning. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian dengan menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, kuesioner dan tes. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t-test dan regresi linier dengan moderasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar geografi antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan, (2) terdapat pengaruh kemampuan argumentasi terhadap hasil belajar sebesar 65% dan variabel model problem based learning memperkuat atau meningkatkan pengaruh kemampuan argumentasi terhadap hasil belajar mencapai 74%.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, kemampuan argumentasi, problem based learning
