- Through Geographic Information Systems (GIS), visualization data which is maps expected distribution of potential tourist attraction in East Lampung regency will be maximized and informative,and then it can solve the problems of tourism in East Lampung regency.The objectives of this research are (1)to create a map of the distribution as well as the potential tourist attraction in East Lampung regency, (2) to create the description of each potential tourist object in East Lampung regency. The research useddescriptive exploratory method. The subjects in this research were ten tourist attractions in East Lampung regency. The objects of this research were the geospatial datal, Spatial data and attribute data. Data collections were collected by documentation, interviews and observations. Analysis of the data used reduction data, presentation data, and verification and description data as the research report.The results in this research are: (1) thematic map is a map of potential sights of spatial data sources that exist in East Lampung District, (2) Description of potential attractions that be seen from the attribute dataare the presence of tourist facilities, the number of tourists visiting, and tourism development efforts in East Lampung regency.Keywords: mapping, geography information system, tourismÂ
