- Hovercraft system is a nonlinear system, underactuated non-holonomic. Because of its unique nature of the research in control system hovercraft become one of the main topic in nonlinear control. This research review the linear model of the hovercraft. Underactuated nature of the hovercraft cause mathematical model of the system is not able to control, so to simplify the problem considered sub-matrix system that is able to control. According to that control model, servo system based on the method of pole placement is designed. The matrix reinforcement is then applied to the linear model hovercraft and the system response shows that the speed control can be done well although there are slight differences from the specification of close loop poles have been determined.
