- AbstrakDrama seperti halnya karya sastra pada umumnya, dapat dianggap sebagai interprestasi penulis lakon tentanghidup. Meskipun terdapat bermacam-macam definisi drama, ada satu hal yang tetap dan menjadi ciri drama, yaitupenyampaiannya yang dilakukan dalam bentuk dialog atau action yang dilakukan para tokohnya Peneliti melihatbanyaknya naskah drama karya siswa kelas VIII-B SMP N 1 Wonoasri Madiun yang mempunyaikeanekaragaman bentuk dialog dan tema. Adapun rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah 1) bagaimanakahbentuk dialog naskah drama karya siswa kelas VIII-B SMP N 1 Wonoasri Madiun Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013? 2)bagaimanakah tema naskah drama karya siswa kelas VIII-B SMP N I Wonoasri Madiun Tahun Ajaran2012/2013? Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber penelitiannya adalah 22 berkasnaskah drama karya siswa. Data yang digunakan untuk memperoleh gambaran deskriptif tentang bentuk dialogdan tema naskah drama karya siswa. Adapun hasil penelitian ini yaitu 1) bentuk dialog naskah drama karya siswakelas VIII-B yang diuraikan meliputi, suasana, penokohan, konflik, dan klimaks. Suasana yang paling banyakdigambarkan adalah suasana yng menyedihkan yang berjumlah 6 naskah, penokohan dengan struktur lengkapada 17 naskah, konflik sosial ada 17 naskah, dan cerita yang berakhir dengan klimaks ada 20 naskah. 2) temadalam 22 naskah drama dibedakan menjadi 4 aspek temal, yaitu 3 naskah percintaan, 3 naskah perjuangan, 11naskah persahabatan, dan 4 naskah tema perjuangan.Kata kunci : bentuk dialog, tema, naskah drama.AbstractDrama as literature in general, can be considered as a scriptwriter interpretation of life. Despite the definitionsdiversity of drama, there is one thing which becomes the main characteristic of drama that is the informationdelivery in the form of dialogue or the action which is conducted by the actors. The researcher notices there are alot of theme varieties in class VIII-B SMP N 1 Wonoasri drama scripts. Therefore, the research questions of thisstudy are 1) How does the format dialogue of class VIII-B SMP N 1 Wonoasri, Madiun year 2012/2013 dramascripts? 2) How does the theme of class VIII-B SMP N I Wonoasri, Madiun year 2012/2013 drama scripts? Theresearch design of this study is descriptive qualitative research. Furthermore, the data of the study come from 22students’ drama script. The data are used to get the description of the format and the theme of the students’drama script. Whereas, the findings of this research are 1) VIII-B drama script format which consist of the scene,characterization, conflict, and climax. The mostly described scene is a sad scene in six drama scripts, thecomplete characterization in 17 drama scripts, and drama which is ended by the climax in 20 drama scripts. 2)The theme of the 22 drama scripts can be categorized into 4 different theme, those are 3 love scripts, 3 heroismscripts, 11 friendship scripts, and 4 family theme scripts.Key Word : format dialogue, theme, drama script
