- Abstrak : Nursing Early Initiation of action to prevent the risk of death for newborns. The success in utilizing the momentum of "golden period" would be great significance in determining the continuity of the next feeding. Number of cases of infant mortality can be reduced by early initiation of breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding. Many studies describe the effect of extraordinary Nursing Early initiation of action in preventing the risk of death for newborns. Design / design of this study will be using the Quasi Experiment research design: posttest-only Control Group Design (posttest design with control group). How to sample selection in this study was done by purposive sampling. To perform data collection instrument to guide researchers to make data gathering observation sheet. The results are processed using statistical test with Mann Whitney test with p = 0.05 Mann Whitney statistical test results is a significant difference with p = 0.000, thus H1 is accepted. Conclusion got there the effect of Nursing Early initiation of breast-feeding skills in infants aged 1-3 days at room Midwifery Regional Special Hospital Manado.
