  • Abstract: The purpose of this study to determine the effectiveness of therapeutic education of type-D personality on CHD risk clients. Quantitative research method using a quasi experimental pre-post test design with control group. Samples of each group of 44 respondents either treatment group and the control group in patients with type-D personality risk for CHD in Tomohon. The result of educational therapy research in the treatment group with the first week of the second week, the first week of the third week, and the week II week III (AN and HS p value 0.05). There is a significant difference in mean score decrease of HS in the second week of treatment and control group (p = 0.000), while the second and third week HS is no different. There was no significant difference between the decrease in mean score AN week I, II, and III between the treatment and control groups. Conclusion educational therapy effectively lowers the AN and HS client D-type personality. Suggestions assessment techniques with DS14 and therapeutic education needs to be known and applied by health professionals on any order of service. Keywords: Therapy education, type-D personality
