- Abstract : This study is a research case study with cross-sectional approach, with a total population sample of 44 students at the fifth semester, Dental Health Department of Poltekkes Kemenkes Manado. The independent variables consist of external factors, which are: 1) parental and familial support, 2) lecturers/tutors, and 3) infrastructure and facilities. Dependent variable is the success of students in achieving the learning tagets of dental care at the clinics of the Dental Health Poltekkes Kemenkes Manado. The Data were collected using questionnare, univariate analyzed, and bivariate analyzed using chi square test. The results that the parental and familial support variables have X2 counted = 6.381, X2 table = 0,012, lecturers/tutors variables have X2 counted = 7.379, X2 table = 0,007, infrastructure and facilities variables have X2 counted = 13.672, X2 table = 0,000. Parental and familial support variables not have significant effect on the success in meeting the learning targets by students at the Dental Health Department Poltekkes Kemenkes Manado. lecturers/tutors, and infrastructure and facilities have significant effect on the success in meeting the learning targets by students at the Dental Health Department Poltekkes Kemenkes Manado.
