  • Abstract: The degree of healthis influenced by many factors: environmental, behavioral, health services, and heredity. Environmental and behavioural factors influencing health status is very large, including the behaviour reflected in the daily habits such as eating, personal hygiene and behaviour toward health efforts. Behavior of oral healthcare will have an effect on dental caries in the mouth. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge, attitudes and actions to maintain healthy teeth and mouth with DMF-T index. This research using cross section alanalytic approach. The population in this research that I Likupang Presidential primary school students, amounted to 64 people. The results with the variables of knowledge in maintaining oral health has a significant relationship to the DMF-T index (p =0.025), whereas the attitude variable (p=0.565) and action (p =0.835) had no significant relationship with the DMFindex-T. This is because the knowledge of respondents about how to maintain oral health is good, but did not follow by a sense of caring and acting. Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Action, DMF-T index
