- Abstract The cause of the Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) disease, both viral diseases (dengue) and its transmitter mosquitoes Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus has spread throughout Indonesia. Prevention and eradication of dengue fever has always been done over the years, including cleaning of dengue mosquito breeding (PSN-DBD) which is an easy effort, inexpensive and can be implemented by the community. This study aims to determine the factors that affect the cleanup efforts to control mosquito vector of dengue fever in the mother's household in Kumelembuai District of South Minahasa Regency. Samples were taken as much as 20% of the 791 population, by the method of Proportional Simple Random Sampling to the number of sample units in the three villages as many as 151 housewife. The results showed that three-quarters of respondents indicated the level of education and cleanup efforts with less category mosquito breeding and the majority of respondents, although well knowledgeable, but the PSN effort is very less. The study also describes the influence of level of education, knowledge, and the actions of the housewife with PSN in dengue vector control. Advice given is that health promotion needs to be done continuously and can give a stimulus / reward in order to increase PSN efforts . Keywords : Education, Knowledge, Action in PSN effort
