- Abstract Seeds of Moringa (Moringa oleifera) containing cationic polyelectrolytes and natural flocculants by chemical composition based on polypeptides that have molecular weights ranging from 6000 to 16,000 Daltons containing amino acids, especially glutamic acid, methionine and arginine can reduce levels of Fe and Mn in the water. This study aims to determine the effect of moringa seed as a coagulant, the lower the Fe and Mn. This study is a research experiment. Through a variety of test methods moringa seed dose of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 g in 1000 ml water sample containing Fe and Mn. To compare the results of measurements in the group who had taken treatment that is considered as a control sample to determine the results of measurements prior to treatment. The results showed five variations of moringa seed dose of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 g then based on statistical analysis using t test can be concluded that moringa seeds can lower Fe and Mn in the water. The optimum dose moringa seeds that can reduce Fe and Mn is 3 g / L or equal to 10 moringa seeds or 1 tea spoon. Keywords: Trial, moringa seeds, Fe, Mn
