- This acticle reported a study with aim to develop an instruction that can overcome the grade 6 elementary student’s difficulties in learning the concept area of parallel epipide using an open-ended approach sugested by Hashimoto. Manupulative materials are used by students when they are dealed with problems presented to them in the work-sheet. First student worked individually then they discussed the solution in groups. After they finished discussion among groups, they check their solutions against the provided answer Test was given at the end of instruction. The students enjoyed their activities and were able to comprehend the topics
