- The purpose of this research were to find out : (1) The management of magersari land of Yogyakarta Palace on the period 1984 – 2013, (2) The impact of the full implementation of Basic Agrarian Law 1960 on Special Region of Yogyakarta on the management of magersari land of Yogyakarta Palace, and (3) The relevance of management of magersari land of Yogyakarta on the period 1984 – 2013 in the enrichment of local history course material.This research used historical method. There is four stage in process of historical research; heuristics, criticsm, interpretation, and historiography. Technique of analyzing the data used historical analysis, give priority to criticsm sharpness and data interpretation. The source of the research used primary resource and secondary resource.The results of this research are : (1) The management of magersari land of Yogyakarta Palace on the period 1984 – 2013 is done by several parties, they includes royal servants, common people (non royal servant), and legal entity or institution equpped with serat kekancingan issued by Tepas Panitikismo, (2) The full implementation of Basic Agrarian Law 1960 on Special Region of Yogyakarta is not significantly affected on the management of magersari land of Yogyakarta Palace, because the status of magersari land is categorized as sultan ground which is under the autonom authority of Yogyakarta Palace. The magersari land is managed with custom rule of palace and it’s optionally registered on agrarian office. Magersari concept in the past was a traditional housing and settlement around the palace. In the present, the right to occupy of sultan ground is known as magersari (3) The relevance of the management of magersari land of Yogyakarta Palace on the period 1984 – 2013 in the enrichment of local history course material can be seen as the facility to extend the knowledge about historiography of local history.
