  • Abstract: This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students in teaching with the use of experimental methods (Experiment Class 1) and the method of demonstration (Experiment Class 2) of the fuel sistem subject in the competency of analyzing fuel sistem components in SMK YPS Prabumulih and compare the student learning outcomes of the use of both methods. This study uses experimental and demonstration learning method which has two research samples that are all eleventh grade students of SMK YPS Prabumulih TKR class totaling 3 classes with 98 students with details of 32 students in TKR 1, 31 students in TKR 2, and 35 students in TKR 3. The results that had been obtained from the use of experimental method at the first meeting showed the percentage of the students that were very active was 43,12%, 46,87% for active students, and 9,37% for quite active students. Then at the second meeting, the percentage of students who were very active was 53, 12%, 43, 75% for active students, and 3, 12% for quite active students. Then at the third meeting, the percentage of students who were very active was 59,37%, 40, 62% for active students, and 0% for quite active student. And demonstration method at the first meeting showed the percentage of 37, 14% for very active students, 46, 87% for active students, and 14, 28% for quite active students. At the second meeting, percentage of students that were very active was 54, 28%, 45, 71% for active students, and 11, 42% for quite active students. At the third meeting, the percentage of students that were very active was 65, 62%, 37, 14% for active students, and 3, 12% for quite active students. Obtained an average percentage of student activity that used experimental learning method ie 80, 24%, and 77, 86% for demonstration learning method. From the results of this study, it shows that there is a comparison of student learning outcomes using experimental methods and demonstration methods. This is proven from the results of t-test that has a value of t-table of 1.670 and 0.791 for t-count. Key words: Learning Outcomes, Experimental Methods, Demonstration Methods.
