  • Abstract: This research aims to enhance students' understanding of chemistry concepts in class XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 OKU through learning Numbered Head Together (NHT) models with the experimental method. The method have used in this studyis Classroom Action Research, which conducted a total of two cycles. Data collection techniques use the final test cycle. Final test cycle have used to determine students' understanding of chemistry concepts. The average value of students before given action is 51.23 (T0) with percentage of classical completeness is 17.14%. The results of this study show that in cycle I, average value of students is 57.22 (T1) with a percentage of classical completeness is 38.71%. In cycle II the average of students is 63.62 (T2) with percentage of classical completeness is 65.52%. This indicates an increase in learning outcomes in each cycle compared to previous cycles. The results of this study show that the applying of learning Numbered Head Together (NHT)models with the experimental method can increasethe students' understanding of chemistry concepts but did not achieve a minimum passing grade criteria (KKM).
