PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TUTOR SEBAYA (PEER TUTORING) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KIMIA SISWA DI KELAS XI IPA SMA SRIJAYA NEGARA PALEMBANG

  • Abstract: This classroom action research aims to improve student learning outcomes chemistry Class XI IPA 2 Srijaya Negara Palembang through peer tutoring learning model. The research was implemented in three cycles, every cycle consisting of two meetings. Research data were obtained use observation sheet and test instrument learning outcomes of students test instrument that implemented every end the of meeting. Based on the research activity of students obtained an increase of 55.15% in the first cycle (T1) to 61.55% in the second cycle (T2), and the third cycle (T3) rose by 65.75% in the active category. The average take an student learning outcomes before action is taken (T0) at 47.40 with a passing grade study is 31%, its increase in the first cycle (T1) to 68.9 with a passing grade study is 60% and then increased to 69.4 with a passing grade study decreasing to 51% in the second cycle (T2) and the third cycle (T3) increased to 86.7 with 86% a passing grade study learning. The results showed an increase in activity and student learning outcomes in chemistry subjects, so it is suggested for teachers to implement peer tutoring learning model as one of alternative to improve student learning outcomes and suggested to other researchers in order to be used as reference in the relevant research.
