- Abstract: The Improvement of Students’ Achievement on Chemistry Learning in Colloid System Topic Through The Implementation of Project-based Learning Model in Class XI of SMAN 1 Tanjung Raja. This study aims to improve learning outcomes chemistry class XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja through the implementation of project-based learning model. The subjects were all students of class XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung King of the academic year 2013/2014. The method of research is a class act consisting of two cycles. Based on the results of the study, the average score of chemistry student learning outcomes prior to the action (T0) at 67.06 with the completeness of 30.30% increase in cycle 1 (T1) at 75.79 with learning completeness of 72.72%. In cycle 2 (T2) the average score chemistry student learning outcomes increased to 81.81 with learning completeness of 87.87%. The results showed that the model of project-based learning can improve student learning outcomes and make more conducive class because the students are very active, so it is advisable for teachers to use project-based learning model as one model of learning options in improving student learning outcomes. For other researchers can be a reference for similar studies or for further research. Keyword: Classroom action research, Project-Based Learning Model, Student Chemistry Learning Results
