  • The problem studied in this research is how to improve students' mathematical communication ability after obtaining learning with PQ4R strategy. This research is a quasi experimental research conducted in class VIII MTs. Al-Ittihad Tanjungsari. For data retrieval, the researcher takes the population of all students of class VIII. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the improvement of mathematical communication ability of students who get PQ4R learning strategy is better than students who get conventional learning. The data obtained using research instruments in the form of test instruments are pretest and postes. Based on the results of data processing, then obtained improved mathematical communication ability that acquired PQ4R learning strategy better than conventional learning.
