- The research entitled "Communication Patterns in Cadreation of Members of Palembang Darussalam Branch of Association Of Islamic University Students (HMI)" by Buyung Irawan, The purpose of this research is to find out the regeneration process and communication patterns used in regenerating members of the Palembang Branch of the Islamic Student Association (HMI) Darussalam. The theory used in this study is the Star Communication Pattern (Star) proposed by Jalaluddin Rakhmat. The research method applied is qualitative with analytical techniques according to Bogdan and Biklen's theories of working with data, organizing data, sorting it into units that can be managed, synthesizing it, finding and finding patterns, finding what is important and what is learned, deciding what can be told to others. Data collection is done through in-depth interviews, participant observation, retrieval of required organizational documents and visual documentation The results of the study indicate that the regeneration process carried out by the HMI Palembang Darussalam for its members is carried out using a star communication pattern. The benefits obtained are that HMI members have a sense of ownership of the organization because in the organization suggestions and criticisms from members can be accepted by the leaders of the organization so that members of HMI will contribute to raising the organization and realizing the ideals of the HMI organization.
