  • This study is aimed to determine the influence of the quantum writing model on the ability of writing a description text of VII grade students of Palembang State Srijaya Middle School. In this study the research method is used a quasi-experimental method. The sample of this study consisted of 2 classes namely class VII.B totaling 27 students as the experimental class with the treatment of the quantum writing model and class VII.A totaling 27 students as the control class with conventional learning models. The data collection technique used the test technique. The data were analyzed by t-test calculation using the SPSS 24 program. The results showed that there were differences in the test results between the experimental class and the control class. The average test score of the experimental class 61.63 increased to 80.70 in the final test. This showed an increase of 21.13. the average value of the initial control class 50.56 increased to 63.41 in the final test. It was showed an increase of 13.15, the results of data analysis with the t-test showed that t count = 9,691> t table = 2,007 with df52 at a significant level of 95% (α = 0,025). This showed that there was a significant influence on the ability of writing a description text on VII grade of Palembang State Srijaya Middle School. Thus Ha reads "there was a difference between the ability of writing description text between students who were taught with a Quantum Writing model and students who were taught with Conventional models in learning to write description texts" Were accepted. It can be concluded that the quantum writing model has more influence on the ability of writing desscription text of VII grade students of Palembang State Srijaya Middle School.
